Install the PokéRogue bot on Windows — step-by-step guide

Install the PokéRogue bot on Windows in about two minutes, with no Python or configuration. The full 24-hour trial starts automatically, once per PC. After that, a paid pass takes over.

Requirements: a PC running Windows 10 or 11, an internet connection and a PokéRogue account (free, created on the game's website).

Step 1 — Download the installer

Click Download. The PokeRogue-Assistant-Setup-1.2.8.exe file lands in your Downloads folder. Wait until the download finishes.

Step 2 — The blue SmartScreen window (this is normal)

On the first launch, Windows may show a blue "Windows protected your PC" screen. This is the standard warning for any independent software that isn't yet signed with a paid code-signing certificate. The app is not dangerous: it was scanned by VirusTotal with a result of 0 detections out of 70 antivirus engines.

To continue: click More info, then the Run anyway button that appears. The installation starts normally.

More rarely, an antivirus may quarantine the file as a precaution. If that happens: Windows Security → Virus & threat protection → History → Allow. A step-by-step guide is also included with the download.

Step 3 — Installation

Once SmartScreen is cleared, installation runs by itself and the app launches. The full 24-hour trial starts automatically, with no key or card, once per PC. The €5 7-day and €15 30-day passes are paid by card through Stripe.

Step 4 — Pick a goal

The app offers six goals, described in plain language: automatic progression, shiny hunting, candy farming, completing the Pokédex, earning the medals, or pushing one species to 100%. You can also list your favorite Pokémon. No need to know PokéRogue inside out: the bot adapts the way it plays to the goal you pick.

Step 5 — Start the bot

Click Start. The bot opens PokéRogue in its built-in browser view and starts playing on your account: it chains battles, catches, climbs the waves and moves toward your goal. You can minimize the window and do something else: the bot keeps running in the background. A notification lets you know when a shiny or a medal drops.

Mainly want to farm overnight or while at work? Read the AFK farming page.

Step 6 — Automatic updates

You never have to reinstall anything: Agent PokéRogue checks for new versions at startup and updates itself. When an update is ready, the app installs it and restarts on the latest version. That's one of the advantages of a packaged bot over a script you have to maintain yourself.

Quick troubleshooting

Download won't start? Check that your browser hasn't blocked the file (click "Keep"). App won't open after install? Relaunch it from the Start menu or the desktop shortcut.

Ready to install the bot?
