PokéRogue AFK farming: let the bot farm in idle
Grinding in PokéRogue takes hours: runs to repeat, shinies to hunt, candy to stockpile, a Pokédex to complete. The whole point of AFK farming is to stop spending those hours yourself. Agent PokéRogue is a Windows bot that plays for you while you're away or busy. You set a goal, you start it, you minimize the window, and the app keeps chaining actions on its own. When you come back, you collect the progress earned while you were doing something else.
Download the agent for WindowsAFK and idle farming: what are we talking about?
AFK farming ("away from keyboard") means letting the game run with no human input. In idle mode, you touch neither the mouse nor the keyboard: the agent makes the decisions, launches the battles and chains the runs. Unlike a simple repeated click, Agent PokéRogue follows game logic: it aims for the goal you chose and adapts its actions to how the game unfolds.
In practice, you can farm overnight, during your work or class hours, or simply while doing something else on the same PC. The only requirement: leave the computer on and the app open. No need to sit in front of the screen.
What the bot farms while you're away
Shiny
The agent chains encounters and runs to multiply your chances of hitting a shiny. Over a full night, the number of Pokémon seen climbs without you having to restart anything.
Candy
Candy stacks up run after run. In AFK, the bot repeats the cycles that earn it, sparing you dozens of manual games just to level a species.
Pokédex
Completing the Pokédex means crossing paths with many different species. Left idle, the agent meets new Pokémon continuously and moves your Dex forward while you sleep.
Medals and progression
Beyond collectibles, the agent simply advances your runs: automatic progression, medals unlocked over time, and targeted farming on a species you want to push to 100%.
Minimized, the app doesn't fall asleep
The usual trap of background farming is that many apps go to sleep the moment you minimize their window: animations slow down, actions stop, and the farm stalls. Agent PokéRogue is configured to avoid that: background throttling is disabled, so the agent keeps the same pace, window in the foreground or tucked into the taskbar.
So you can start a farm, minimize, and use your PC normally for something else, or turn off the screen and let the machine work through the night. The agent doesn't demand your attention: no window jumping back to the front, no click to confirm. It keeps running until you come back.
Examples of gains during AFK
A few typical use cases, for reference (results depend on your goal, your progression and how long you leave the agent running):
- A night's sleep (~8h): hundreds of extra Pokémon seen for shiny hunting and the Pokédex, without relaunching a single run.
- A workday (~8h): a stockpile of candy accumulated to level up the species you're targeting, ready to spend when you return.
- A "while I do something else" session (1–2h): a few runs wrapped up and some progression banked without touching it.
Agent PokéRogue does not speed up the game and does not guarantee a shiny: it does the repetitive actions for you, longer than you would by hand. The gain comes from the time you didn't have to spend.
Start an AFK farm in a few steps
Setting up an idle farm takes less than a minute once the app is installed:
- Install Agent PokéRogue on Windows (the setup guide covers the SmartScreen warning: the .exe is unsigned, but the file comes back 0/70 on VirusTotal).
- Pick a goal: shiny, candy, Pokédex, medals or farming a specific species.
- Start the agent, then minimize the window. The bot takes over.
- Let it run as long as you want (a break, a night, a day), then come back to see the progress.
Who is AFK farming for?
Idle farming is useful for long goals such as a full Pokédex or shiny hunting. You can try every feature free for 24 hours, once per PC. The €5 7-day and €15 30-day passes are paid by card through Stripe.
